Class 2 World Book Day

The day began with the Eclipse. Year 6 children showed Class 2 children the eclipse with the simple viewers that they had made. The children listened to stories from books that had been brought to school. It was such a beautiful day we worked in the garden in the afternoon. The children worked well as a team digging, weeding and tidying the garden. Well done Class 2!

Class 2 trip to Cefn mably farm

Everyone had a wonderful time at the farm. There was loads to do and see. Rabbits and guinea pigs to pet, mini tractors to ride, animals to feed, ponies to ride and lots more to do in the play areas.

Animal shelters

Sam made a shelter for a horse using duplo blocks.

Snow! Snow! Snow!

Class 2 went out to see how the garden had changed after the snow had fallen. It was so hard they could make trails, but found that they couldn't even make foot prints. They tried to make hand prints. Brr! Cold hands!
They noticed that there were no leaves on some trees and tried to find the evergreen trees and shrubs in the garden. The Square Group fed the birds.

3D Shapes

The children have been learning to recognise some 3D shapes. They've been making some pyramids, cubes and cuboidal too! Here are some of their shapes.

It's Christmas!

The children had fun at the party playing games and dancing. Merry Christmas everyone!
