Centenary celebrations

Then we ended the day with a street party.

We then joined in with the sports. Look at us doing the egg and spoon race in our lovely costumes.

Celebrating the Centenary of the School

We have gone back in time and are being taught in rows today. Surnames were used to mark the register, a finger nail inspection was carried out and we wrote on slate (black card) with chalk. We also learnt about the Welsh not.

Rhondda Heritage Park

On Tuesday 23rd April we went on our class trip to Rhondda Heritage Park. Some of us experienced dressing up as Victorian children as you can see in the photos. We were also shown some toys from the olden days and had a chance to play with them. After our lunch in the park, some ex-miners talked to us about working in the coal mines. We then went on a tour underground. It was dark in the shaft going down but there was a bit more light in the mine. We all had a great day.

Gardening!

Look we had fun planting our potatoes.
