Pyjama Party

As part of our Topic 'When I Fall Asleep' all the children came in dressed in pyjamas and brought their favourite bedtime story and teddy with them. They re-enacted bedtime routines, transformed the carpet into a cosy, comfy area and read each other their stories. They then decorated pillow cases using fabric pens with night time pictures and images such as stars, moons and owls! After that, we sung some lullabies and had a bed time snack - hot chocolate and toast! This was our favourite part! Here are some pictures:

Roald Dahl Day - Sept 2016

All the children looked wonderful in their costumes for Roald Dahl day. We read 'The Twits' and designed our own messy beards for Mr Twit using messy items such as paint, pasta, sweets and feathers!

Reception Blog

Reception (Miss Burke) will now be using Class 2 to blog. Year 1/2 (Mrs Alford) will now be using Class 3 to blog. Thank you!

autumn

We have been studying symmetry this week. We made symmetrical leaves in Autumnal colours. We then made a collage inspired by the sculptor Anthony Goldsworthy.

This week in class 3

The children made a rainbow collage using a range of materials that they had brought in from home. Ioan made a firework model. Jasmine painted a lovely picture of a cat.

science show

This week Llanhari Primary had an entertaining show about food safety. The children learnt how cleaning, chilling, cooking and avoiding cross contamination kept food safe.

Ronald Dahl day

Class 3 enjoyed explaining who they were. They listened really well to the Enormous Crocodile and loved the story. They have drawn and painted crocodiles. They have tried to design traps to catch the naughty croc.
